Doubtless Bay offers a warm sub-tropical climate and over 70 kilometres of unspoiled coastline. The area is renowned for its beautiful beaches and laid back lifestyle. The beaches are white sand and lined with Pohutukawas and rocky coves. The area offers a wealth of restaurants, cafes and quaint shops for you to delight in whilst visiting.

CABLE BAY - Doubtless Bay

Cable Bay is a small bay situated next to coopers beach and offers golden sand, pink coral, pohutukawas and rock pools for you to delight in.
A reasonably popular beach in summer the beach has limited facilties and no lifesaving service.

​TAIPA BAY - Doubtless Bay
Taipa bay offers white sand beach with a small residential community. The beach is located just along from Cable Bay. The area is renowned as one of the premier game fishing spots in the world. The beach has limited facilities; car parking, toilets, and has no lifesaving service.

KAITAIA - Base of the Aupouri Peninsula.
Kaitaia is situated in the Far North region at the base of the Aupouri Peninsula, about 160 km northwest of Whangarei. The town is the oldest in New Zealand and is the last major settlement on Highway 1 north to the bays & capes on the peninsula. The name Kaitaia means ample food (Kai being the Maori word for food). The area offers a variety of food, wine, beaches and activities including horse trekking, shooting, quad bike rides, golf, surfing, kayaking, diving, kitesurfing, flying, fishing and game fishing to name a few.

​NINETY MILE BEACH - Cape Reinga
Ninety-Mile Beach stretches from Ahipara to Scott Point, five kilometres south of Cape Maria van Diemen. The beach is popular for surfcasting, swimming, boogy boarding as well as sandboarding the sand dunes. Here you'll find the Aupouri Forest, a shaded nature escape. From the Bay of Islands, coach tours and scenic flights to Cape Reinga depart from Paihia daily. The beach is officially a highway which is only suitable for 4WD vehicles and only safe to drive at specific times due to tides. Coach tours are the easiest way to drive along the beach from Kaitaia.
