Abel Tasman National Park is renowned for its sculptured granite cliffs, golden beaches, and world-famous walking tracks.The region has a mild climate and is a good place to visit year round. Abel Tasman National Park is NZ's smallest at 22,530 hectares and offers an expanse of native bush interlaced with walking tracks, surrounded by clear blue/green seas and beautiful bays with golden sand. The most popular walking track is the picturesque Abel Tasman Coastal Track which skirts Abel Tasman's tantalising bays.

If your a mountaineer you'll be able to enjoy the best climbing in Australasia, for the less skilled adventurers there are plenty of mountain walks leading to alpine tarns and herb fields offering spectacular glacier views, with the local bird life enhancing the moment.

The Tongariro National Park encompasses some of New Zealand's most contrasting landscapes and is situated around the three volcanoes; Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu.. The park covers an area of 796 km's and offers emerald lakes, alpine meadows and hot springs surrounding the volcanoes which are very much active.
The park is most famous for the Tongoriro Alpine Crossing which takes you up and over Mt Ruapehu giving you the opportunity to take in the country's magnificent scenery from a great height while walking between crater lakes on the mountains surface. If thats not your thing canoe or kayak the Wanganui River or endulge in the many bush walks in the surrounding bush.
