Located in the heart of Auckland’s Freeman’s Bay, Clooney is a partnership between restaurateur Tony Stewart and Chef Desmond Harris. Chef Harris’ cuisine melds the tradition of classical cuisine with a contempory approach to ingredients and technique. Clooney’s dishes are continually in progress, reflecting seasonality, inspiration and evolution.  Wine list development & wine/food pairings are undertaken by Restaurant Manager/Sommelier Gary Olasz.

In 2013, Clooney was awarded three chef hats by Cuisine Good Food Guide; the highest restaurant award in New Zealand. We are honoured and very pleased to have achieved this commendation along with only one other New Zealand restaurant and nine Australian restaurants. Alongside this achievement, our talented Head Chef, Des Harris, was awarded Chef of the Year. Cuisine Good Food Guide writes: “Harris’s food is constantly evolving and always fascinating.”
